Resisting a Rest

In the last two years alone, I’ve had 2 bone stress injuries and 4 other lower leg related injuries, so it was very important for me this year to give even more time and effort dedicated to my recovery routine. The best thing about SOS is that it’s great for pre, during, and post workout, as well to help with hydration during long flights or sickness. Protein post workout is crucial to muscle recovery. If you struggle with sleep/anxiety, hopping in the pod was not just great for muscle recovery, but allowing the mind to take a break as well.

Therapy tools for me are a luxury, but when used consistently I have seen a big change in how quick my body can recover and ultimately feel much fresher going into each workout. I found that a cryo session the day before my hardest workout of the week was most effective in my training performance.

Feeling Toasty

When I began a pescatarian diet two years ago this made my love for toasted sandwiches even more limited as I no longer had my normal turkey, ham, or proscuitto options to jazz things up. I have since come up five vegetarian toastie recipes that will satisfy that grilled cheese gooey goodness and at the same time provide some nutritional depth. Each recipe is very unique in flavor and will cover any mood or preferance because lets be real, I don’t discriminate when it comes to cheese and every girl likes options. Cut in strips and then lightly toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, and a pinch of curry powder.

Fifty Shades

I’ve covered my go-to’s for your fingers and wrists, but let’s face it, your sunnies will tell the most about your style. have a few cheap ones that I wear from time to time, but there’s something so special about putting on a fresh pair of quality sunglasses. Some ripped denim shorts and your husband’s tee is ‘effortlessly chic’ with a pair of fashion forward sunglasses. Since a lot of quality sunglasses are pricey, its important to select a frame that will be perfect for your lifestyle and not just because it’s ‘in fashion’ at that time.
