626 Night Market returns tonight for 3 nights

This is my favorite event of the year and it starts tonight and runs through July 2nd. It is the 626 Night Market, the premiere event of the summer here in the 626. Parking fills fast so arrive early or Uber/Lyft in from the Arcadia Metro Gold Line Station. If you must drive take the 210 to Arcadia, Exit Santa Anita and follow the signs to the Santa Anita Racetrack.

2017 Fabulous Fords Forever Car Show is a wrap

The show was a again dominated by Mustangs, so I spent my time in the rows and rows of other than ‘stangs and found several gems. It was original right down to the original owners son now having the car and the rear window covered with stickers from where they took the beast on vacations. And the fully monty of the best in show: Of course no show is without its survivors…car that collect a patina with age and wear it well. Of the modern cars there were several of the hot hatch Fiesta ST, Focus ST and Focus RS.

Fritz Coleman in “Defying Gravity” at Sierra Madre Playhouse May 6

Everyone once in a while I get a press release that sells out before I can even post it. Thanks to a gratifying response to our last E-Blast, Fritz will give a SECOND performance Saturday, May 6 at 6:30pm. We all know Fritz as that nice NBC weatherman who has been appearing in our living rooms seemingly for ever; we’ve watched him grow up.
