Status Not Quo partners with Port of Los Angeles to create a new mobile-friendly website with dynamic search capabilities

Status Not Quo, a leading technology consulting firm focused on Custom Web Development and Salesforce Development/Implementations, has partnered with the Port of Los Angeles to create a new website. Earlier this week, the Port of Los Angeles, North America’s leading seaport by container volume and cargo value, announced the debut of their new website recognizing Status Not Quo as their technology partner that helped bring this vision to light. Status Not Quo is a strategic software development company, providing turn-key services to reach our client’s strategic and financial objectives. The Port of Los Angeles is America’s premier port and has a strong commitment to developing innovatively strategic and sustainable operations that benefit Southern California’s economy and quality of life.

Building Long-Term Relationships

At SNQ, our business focuses on building long-term relationships with our clients so we can ultimately understand their business inside and out to strategically drive projects towards their end goal. Scott and Sarah discuss what makes us so different from other tech companies: We aren’t the typical technology firm in that we don’t aim to load up as many projects as possible, but rather prefer to pursue quality relationships that grow over time. Using this technique allows us to determine the depth of strategic goals and target our technical expertise around long-term objectives, rather than simply focus on what looks like an immediate win but has no lasting effects. Our goal is to create action and success, and in order to achieve that goal we may interact with or manage multiple vendors and types of tech for an implementation to get things done.

Our Business Methodology

We use iterative releases paired with a client feedback loop to prevent surprises and enable better visibility on both sides to variables that may not be immediately understood. By essentially adapting an Agile perspective to meet what we have found to be best practices in the field, we follow a strict release schedule that allows clients to respond to each sprint so feedback can be incorporated into the process. This way, deadlines aren’t affected like they are with traditional Agile sprints, and feedback can be taken into account before the end of the project, before it’s too late. It also gives us the opportunity to continually learn more about the client’s company, ultimately impacting the product outcome positively without taking away from the budget or scope of the project as we discover more about the client needs and wants before the project is completed.

Refining the Reporting Process

If you pull reports out of habit, or only need one number or item from them, you can actually create a dashboard item for the metric in Sage Intacct and eliminate that report all together. Once you know what necessary data you’ll need to pull, you can determine whether you need to create new ones for operational metrics to supplement the financial ones. If you’re ready to make the switch right now, or you still have a few lingering questions, we’re here to help you start the process. But maybe you’re comfortable with your old solution, you’re questioning whether you have the resources, and even when people show you numerous reasons why you should choose one solution over another, you still have a lingering feeling of doubt.
