I Found A Tomb While Rock Climbing. (Abuna Yemata Guh, Ethiopia)

While climbing around an area near (but not at) the famous cave church of Abuna Yemata Guh, I found some tombs. It was an interesting discovery, I did not disturb the tombs, and I left donated gear for the Tigray guide association. If you’re sensitive about seeing old tombs (e.g. like Paris catacombs), then feel free to skip! Besides being a dancer, I’m also an avid rock climber, and I actually wrote two guidebooks (Ontario Rock Climbing).

Pugs And Teslas - Courage Republic

Today I’m out in Vancouver and experiencing a world of contrasts in cars. One vehicle is a Tesla Model X owned by some crazy rich Asians. See how a car from the 1980’s works, and somehow along the way, my friend and I end up talking about the cliques of Vancouver and culture shocks of mainland China. To top things off, we’re accompanied by Bobby the pug on our ride.

AFTERNOON Meditation With Relaxing Rain Sounds

Today’s episode is a bit different from my normal travel vlogs. Today’s video came about from a crazy first day in Marrakech, Morocco. I had a day’s worth of connections to get there, I got held up at immigration, and like many travellers, I had to wander and get lost in Marrakech’s medina with all my luggage to find my riad. So I lit some candles, made a simple meal, and found it to be really relaxing watching the rain fall in the riad, I made a beginner’s meditation out of it, designed for those afternoons when it’s harder to meditate, whether your caught up in busy work or feeling tired and sleepy.

ULTIMATE Stone Town Street Food + Street MAGIC Binge!

Today, it’s all about street level cooking: plastic stools, humble one-woman shows, breakfast with locals, cold fruity drinks, and of course, fantastic local street food. If a mashup of deep fried food in the morning is a harsh way for your start the day, then there’s always Lukmaan’s. Next up, I head back to the Darajani market, except I cross the street to where a number of street vendors draw my curiosity. It’s been a fantastic night, and I finish my food adventure with a street magic performance for my friends at the night market!
