Our cheap conservatory makeover

I wasn’t going to post this because the conservatory is actually the one room of the house I don’t like We didn’t want to spend money on something that would (hopefully! ) be gone within a year or two. ^The kitchen during the renovation work But after a few months of this ugly, cold room I got fed up and bought a few bits to spruce it up and I’m very glad we did because it’s still with us four years later! The conservatory is where coats, bags and shoes are dumped when people come in and it’s where we store all the household crap that doesn’t have an official home. It’s a mismatch of a room with no real purpose but also a room we couldn’t live without!

It’s going to make our house so much bigger but this is all really terrible timing because we’re going to be knee-deep in building work when the baby arrives. How we’re preparing our boys for a new baby brother or sister It seemed to take a long time for the news to sink in with George and Joseph. They currently call the baby a girl and, even though I keep explaining it might be a boy, they both seem adamant it’s a girl which might be a bit of a shock if it’s not. People think it’s a shame if you have 3 boys and you see the genuine confusion in their eyes when you tell them you’d be just as happy with a boy and, if it is a boy, you won’t be trying for a fourth baby in the hope you finally have a girl (yes, people really ask that! )

10 of the best hotels in Wales

I live on the England/Wales border so, while I spend a lot of time in Wales, I don’t visit many hotels in Wales so Bonnie is here to fill us in! Coastal colours and plenty of local artwork pepper the walls, while charming details include views of the sea, an honesty bar, home baked cakes, a log fire and the option to hire bikes. There’s plenty to do on a restful holiday with a library and restful lounges as well as an indoor pool, putting green and games room, all of which make for fully entertained and happy children, and that’s before you’ve headed outside to explore the great outdoors! The beauty outside is reflected in the spa, which enjoys full height windows and dual treatment rooms, an infinity edge hydro pool and invigorating thermal bathing spa experience.

so I think I’m much more ‘normal’ to most people if I’m not a ‘digital nomad’. If I’m struggling or don’t feel very inspired, I’ll go and sit in my bedroom where it’s peaceful and calm and I’ll just sit down and write for an hour If someone told me 10 years ago that I’d be a travel blogger I wouldn’t have believed it so I’m hoping I’ll be doing something equally as mind-blowing in another 10 years time. This isn’t really a massive issue for me at the moment because I’m at home more than I’m travelling so I don’t tend to worry.
