Backpack & Explore is a journal of an analyst by profession whose heart lies in writing and traveling. Yes, that’s me, a next-door Indian woman with a career in the corporate and a novice homemaker who still burns her food sometimes.
It took my husband and me some time to figure out that it is possible to keep the wanderlust soul alive even while managing our responsibilities. That’s why we write for people like us. So the city has a great cultural and historical significance and it is famous for syncretic Hindu Muslim unity or Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb as they say it. Agra – the home to one of the world’s most famous monuments – the Taj Mahal. It’s main feature are Golden and Silver threads (zari) finely woven into bright-colored silk-brocades. It’s hard to get original Kanjeevaram on Amazon, but you can check with a filter of Rs. 5000 and above.
