Cinco de Mayo Tequila Cilantro Cocktail

Those of you who follow us on Instagram and YouTube know about our famous Tequila Cilantro Lemonade, and how much we think it’s a great addition to any party, especially on Cinco de Mayo. We’ve got 80-degree weather dropping this weekend, so a cool, refreshing cocktail like this couldn’t come at a better time. Strain the liquid into a martini shaker that’s filled with ice. Add the lime juice, lemon juice, and agave and shake well.

Cinco De Mayo Cocktails with Mint & Jalapeño

And with tequila options come Margarita options, just in time for Cinco de Mayo. This recipe is truly tasty whether it’s on the rocks or strained into a martini glass. Muddle the jalapeño and the mint in the añejo until the mint starts to break apart. Add the orange juice, Grand Marnier, and homemade sweet & sour and shake well.

Sun Valley Film Festival 2018

For this year’s Sun Valley Film Festival, we flew a satellite team to work the Stella Cafe, the busiest, best, pop-up bar in town. This year’s film festival included A-listers like Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Bosworth, and showcased films like A Midsummer Night’s Dream, A Name Without a Place, and All the Wild Horses. We planned to fly our bartenders directly into Hailey’s Friedman Memorial Airport, a 15 minute drive from downtown Sun Valley, but that plan changed with the weather. We’re so grateful to have such a strong, flexible, and talented team of bartenders who will fly to another state for an event.

This Girl’s Book Club: The Cocktail Galaxy

Andy Heidel has put an incredibly creative collection of recipes together in his wonderful new book, The Cocktail Guide to the Galaxy: It has been over a decade since the great American cocktail awakening and within that time period there has been no shortage of cocktail books (ours included). What’s amazing is how many different genres of cocktail books exist out there: brick & mortar vanity books, thematic books (e.g. spicy drinks, winter drinks, bourbon drinks, etc.),  sexist books (pink drinks for ladies), uber craft cocktail books, classic books, drink books based on TV shows (think Mad Men), and on and on. We’ve found that we’re particularly drawn to three types of books: those with realistic photos, those with recipes that require ingredients you can actually find in North America, and those and are down-right quirky.
