The rich and rustic natural textures of traditional mountain design are balanced against the clean, restraint and sleek finishes of modern design. The wood coffee table brings us back to the mountain feel by adding the rustic wood texture and organic shape. I’ve been posting on Instagram about the Denver Life Designer Showhouse and that our overall style for the home was Organic Modern. Organic Modern Style is a balanced blend of the two design styles Organic Modern interior design starts with a canvas of modern architecture and layers on natural and organic materials and forms. Organic Modern relates to one of our signature design styles that we create at Beautiful Habitat: Mountain Modern. In this decorating style, the organic forms take on a more mountain feel with organic textures of grass/straw, wool, or faux fur.
With the rise of Pinterest, Houzz and other sharing platforms, Interior Decorating has become like gourmet cooking and cake decorating in that it is easily accessible to everyone With this sharing of ideas and information, I see clients that are well informed on what they like and dislike, making it easier to communicate design concepts and direction. This shift has also caused me to create my Home Design Review and VIP Day, two interior design service packages on which I help clients with a consultation and design direction for 90 minutes up to a full day. No matter who once owned it, or how much something once cost, it’s not worth decorating around it to create a room you don’t love. If you follow interior design or just spend any time on Pinterest, you know that white rooms, with white painted walls and white furniture, have been all the rage for the couple of years.
In addition to the design planning and drawing creations, interior design services include product sourcing, recommendation and selection. Our final service level is construction support for remodeling projects or delivery oversight for furnishings and décor. During construction support, your interior designer acts as your liaison on the project job site. Delivery oversight includes coordinating the furniture delivery and being onsite to ensure that the furniture is placed or art and window treatments hung exactly as we designed.
