Of course, the episode starts off quirky and light heart-ed with Leslie planning to throw her best friend the best going away party, and it ends with a scene that I think most people can really relate to. Light and melodic, while holding depth in the way Petty shows how in some way or another, we all need to move on in order to find ourselves. It wouldn’t have been wise to put a Sarah McLachlan song there (although Leslie did put it in the mix tape she made for Ann), and the scene wouldn’t have been as heartfelt with a light bop that didn’t hold the depth of what was happening. I’ll leave you with the episode here (sorry couldn’t find just the clip so skip skip skip to 19:49.)
The Under and Above From underground artists to above what the legal limit should be for how many times a song plays on the radio, I'm just trying to hear it all. The Under & Above It says to put something "About Me" here, but this blog isn't really about "me", per say. Love it like carrying a boom box over your head, refusing to get on a floating door in the Atlantic (because no they both wouldn't have fit), smashing a Demagorgon's head in with a bat of nails kind of love. But just know that if you've come across this page because I literally asked you to, or you saw it on another social media account, or you're like me and scour the internet for fresh finds, I hope you'll listen and come back and start a conversation about the one thing that is universally gratifying: Music.
