The annual tradition of Disneyland price increases is set for this Sunday, ahead of the 2017 President’s Day weekend. It will now cost a family of four nearly $400 to park a car and enter one park, for one day at the Disneyland Resort. In 2016 the Disneyland Resort began to break single day admission prices into tiers based upon demand: Value, Regular and Peak days. Disneyland suspended the sale of new Southern California resident annual passports in October 2015 only making them available for renewal. Disneyland has made some major adjustments to their annual passport line up in October 2015 with not only temporally suspending the sale of the SoCal resident AP, but also with the elimination of the premium passport which allowed access to the parks 365 days per year. Disney also recently began sale of an exclusive Disney California Adventure only passport through Costco. With the renewed sale of the Disneyland SoCal annual passport comes a $20 cost increase from the previous $439 now to $459.

Costco members can now purchase an annual passport to Disney California Adventure park for only $330. The newly added passport is a new addition to the line up of Disneyland Resort annual passes, which were restructured last October. This is the first time Disneyland has offered a passport which is restricted to Disneyland’s neighbor, all other annual passes allow for ‘park hopping’. The Costco Disney California Adventure annual pass is the same price as the So Cal Select passport, which will provide access to both parks, making it a better choice for Southern Califonia residents.

Replacing Tower of Terror at California Adventure in 2017 ‘Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! The long rumored Marvel themed changes to the Hollywood Twilight Zone Tower of Terror attraction at Disney California Adventure park were confirmed today at the San Diego Comic-Con. Beginning in the summer of 2017, guests will have the opportunity to join the characters from in a rethemed version of the random drop ride which is currently themed to coincide with the Hollywood Land portion of California Adventure. Beginning with Cars Land in 2012, and the currently under construction Star Wars Land, the Disneyland Resort is moving to intellectual property immersive environments as opposed to the tradional themeing we’ve come to know. Disney has only said that the new attraction will open in the Summer of 2017 with the Hollywood Tower of Terror closing in early 2017.
