It’s weird to say, but I’m so glad I have this picture now that I’m healthy. I’m not a person who doesn’t give a f@ck, it’s quite the opposite: my soul needs to medivac some people help, chop wood and carry water to the sick. To those loved ones, it’s not your fault and in some ways, it’s not your addicted loved one’s fault, either. It’s my life’s work, my purpose.
But in the meantime, here’s a video I made about Mommy Wine Culture: It’s a vicious circle, we drink to feel better and eventually we feel we have to drink to feel happy or even normal. You’re not bad for trying to kill your pain and anxiety, you’re human. When you start to see the pervasive nature of the Mommy Wine Culture pushed on us, it’s like being unplugged from The Alcohol Matrix.

It feels like the flu or at least a mild form of it, like you borrowed from Peter to pay Paul, essentially borrowing happiness last night from today. But scientifically speaking, drinking a glass of water between drinks won’t save you from a hangover if you still overdo the booze. Dehydration doesn’t cause hangovers, but it does cause your blood sugar levels to drop. The only surefire way to avoid a hangover is to not drink alcohol and I can tell you that being in the No Hangover Club is one of the many benefits of sobriety, but it’s not the only one.
