For someone with a strong inclination toward over-the-top style (*waves hand wildly*) keeping it simple and minimal sounds a bit frightening at first mention. Though yet again, NYC has taught me another valuable lesson: simple can be chicest. During the hot summer months, a simple, hassle-free wardrobe is absolute key to keeping things chic and cool for those long days and nights. My current go-to has been an off-the-shoulder black dress (I mean can it get any chicer? ) and my favorite pair of  sandals, which I by the way can last about 12 hours stomping through the city in,#truestory.

My favorite hue for the past two seasons has been inspired by another one of summer favorites (you guessed it, rosé, all day). There’s just something about mixing this perfectly-feminine pink with a bit of grunge. This blush blazer and my favorite pair of worn-in boyfriend jeans did just the trick. My current favorite pair of sandals just upped the edge factor even more.

It goes without saying that I’m a huge fan of the cape. Like, talk about an instant glam factor
