Because life shouldn't be about escaping from the world, but escaping to it.
It’s always a little easier if you plan something fun, which is just what we did with our girls’ weekend at Anantara Mũi Né! There are other options include premiere, deluxe, and deluxe ocean rooms, ocean and two bedroom suites, one bedroom, one bedroom beach front, two bedroom residence, two bedroom duplex, and two bedroom beachfront pool villas! We then walked off breakfast with a little tour of the resort with Rose who told us more about Anantara’s history and more about the Mũi Né property specifically. I mean we’d all already done the big sightseeing things in Mũi Né, so why would we want to be anywhere but here with the beach in front and the pool behind?
Otherwise, you’ll be competing with every Vietnamese fashion influencer in Đà Lạt and rich moms who let their kids throw pebbles at the ducks in the lake and don’t do anything even when you embarrass them by yelling across the lake and scaring said kid. Good spot for Italian food in Đà Lạt and nice if you’re staying at the homestay. As is the case with most of Đà Lạt, everything is pretty spread out, so your best bet is to narrow down where you plan on going and restaurants or cafes you want to visit then pick out a spot. While Đà Lạt, like much of Vietnam, is extremely affordable, especially if you’re used to places like the US, it is a little more expensive than most other places in the country.
I remember meeting a guy once who kept talking about how he really wanted to try the ramen in the Japanese area in District 1 and being completely confused as to what he was talking about. I’ve heard from two different people that the ramen at Mutahiro is the best, and that it’s on par with the ramen you’d find in Japan. On my first trip, I bopped around District 1 of Saigon, did a day trip to the Mekong Delta, experienced all the best things to do in Hoi An, checked out the Marble Mountains in Đà Nẵng, experienced the stunning Halong Bay, and finished off finding all the cool things to do in Hanoi. Now that I’ve been back, I’ve gotten to know Saigon even more, like exploring all the temples and dim sum of Cho Lon in District 5 and, of course, Little Japan.
You’ll actually first arrive at their welcome deck to check-in before boarding a speed boat which will take you to Con Au, the islet in Hau River on which Azerai Can Tho sits. They wanted to stock up on fruit before going back to Saigon, and I wanted to eat some market food as well as see what exactly a floating market entails. Anyway, Cái Răng floating market is about 20-30 minutes by boat from Azerai, and it’s full of wholesale vendors selling different fruits, vegetables, and food. The full cooking class experience actually starts in the morning with a trip to the market and then a class where you can make the food yourself.
