How to Put Together a Frog Art Activity that Builds Counting Skills

I created a free printable log and 5 frogs and invited the children to paint and assemble their frogs and logs while also counting from 1-5. • Frogs and log printable (scroll down to find the link to the free printable) First, make a copy of the frogs and log printable. Count the Frogs and Place them on Log Take a strip of paper (I had some sentence strips tucked away in a drawer) and write the numbers 1 through 5 with some space in between each number. Another Way to Use this Frog Art Activity Instead of gluing the frogs permanently to the log, place velcro pieces on the log and on each frog, so that the frogs can be removed.

15 Spring Butterfly Activities

These 15 butterfly activities are a great way for toddlers to learn about the unique butterfly life cycle and can be added to the butterfly theme. Marble Painted Butterflies – Roll marbles around in paint with paper for a fun way to decorate these butterflies. Paper Plate Life Cycle – Create a visual representation of the four stages of a butterfly’s life using a paper plate and various craft supplies. Life Cycle Printable – Use these free printable images of the butterfly life cycle to arrange into the appropriate order.

Toddler Frog Puppet Activity

What we used to paint the frog: • Paint, thinned with water (I used blue and yellow, but you can just use green if desired) Once the golf ball is coated with paint, use a spoon or scoop and transfer it into the container with the frog printable. If more golf balls are desired, place another one in the paint container, coat it with paint, and drop it into the bin with the printable. How to use the frog puppets during circle time: Pass out the frog puppets and show the children how to insert their arm through the opening, moving the frog with the hand.
