Exploring mountains near Playitas on Fuerteventura is an absolute must for all nature lovers! The trails offer just the right amount of challenge, and the breathtaking views are simply unparalleled. π While my sports hotel had a plethora of activities, I found myself irresistibly drawn to the nearby mountains for a hike. ποΈ However, note to self: even on cloudy days, sun protection is a must. π Learned that the funny way with a lopsided sunburn!
In our next trip π we went to the next Canarie island Fuerteventura exploring the breathtaking landscapes π and stayed at a small place called Playitas nestled amidst majestic mountains. Playitas is probably most famous for those who are gearing up for Tour de France and other π² cycling marvels, because this place boasts an array of exhilarating cycling paths. It has a sports hotel with the same name Playitas Resort @playitasresort which not only houses a hotel but also features an Olympic-sized swimming pool and a spectrum of other sport engagements. San Agustin - Gran Canaria is the first tourist city that you come across when leaving the airport βοΈ and heading south on the old main road. The pricey and large villas with a fantastic view are located on the plateau to the right of the main road. Many pensioners from Sweden πΈπͺ reside in San Agustin during the winter or all year long, thereby giving San Agustin a Scandinavian touch. One of the cool things is a π black sand on the beach.
