I’m a mom to an adventurous 8 year old girl and an energetic 4 year old boy. I currently stay home and manage our crazy household, but in a former life I was an attorney, a figure skating coach, an international athlete, and a Division I rower.

In addition to finding adventures for my family, I do a lot of volunteer work. I sit on the Board of Trustees for my high school and also am an official for US Figure Skating. My volunteer work allows me to maintain some sense of self, which, in turn, allows me to be a better mom and wife.

Travel and family experiences were a big part of my childhood and, in fact, make up some of my favorite memories! Back then it was about spending time with my family and just having fun. Now that I’m a mom, I realize that these adventures also provided life lessons and an education that can’t be replicated in a classroom.

Whether it’s an at home activity, local day trip, or a week-long international adventure, we embrace our time together, enjoy the adventures, and create memories and smiles!

We think these are the best board games because they are either simple enough or can be slightly modified to include Little Man at 4 years old, they aren’t noisy, and my husband These 10 best board games could be awesome birthday or holiday gifts (hint…hint), so just click the links to shop them! We don’t keep score when we play with Little Man and we do help him just a bit, but he really enjoys finding matching pieces! It’s a great little matching game and Little Man loves sliding the dispenser to make the chips come out (I have to admit that it is kind of fun…).
