Today’s wedding see’s us head over to North Yorkshire for the super laid back, sunny summer wedding of Sophie and Sam. The proposal We were in the Lake District doing a ride called the 4 passes, day one we were sat on top of the first mountain (top of Honistor Pass) looking down the valley to beautiful Buttermere having a brew on Sam’s little stove. We kept it short and simple and everyone was given a personalised Beer that our friend did for us from Kirkby Lonsdale Brewary, so everyone could have a ‘Cheers N Beer’ after the blessing, which meant we didn’t have wedding favours. I didn’t want an all-white dress, so I typed in ‘blue wedding dress’ into Pinterest and there was my dress, the beautiful and stunning Chantel Lauren Mae gown in Steel blue.

The proposal While home from school, Steve wanted to do a Detroit Architecture Tour that included one of Steve’s favourite Detroit buildings, The Guardian. In lieu of a giant wedding cake, Steve and I wanted an assortment of desserts that we loved for our guests to enjoy. Steve and I didn’t have a wedding party and since the ceremony was private, we felt we owed it to our guests to welcome them to the celebration of our day. Steve’s grandpa was unable to attend our wedding due to health issues; however, we still wanted him to be a part of our day since he was on the only living grandparent between the two of us.

Marissa and Adam wanted something unique and this they got with Mt. Hood Ski Bowl in Oregon. Coupled with the beautiful ‘Rustic Lush’ decor that Marissa and Adam put in place, with lots of greenery, lush white flowers and lots of rustic wood touches, this wedding really is a stunner. Our guests arrived to the ceremony via chairlift and took the Alpine Slide down to the reception (which I went down in my wedding dress). All the suits were from Generation Tux, the dresses were from The Dessy Group Theme or colour scheme I wanted a lush/rustic wedding.
