Looking back on my Top 5 Male Anime Characters blog post today! I firmly believe that these five need so much love. Although a few of them are fan favourites, a couple of them are just under appreciated! Right from the start of Death Parade, Decim intrigued me. The sense of mystery that surrounds him and the story line that follows just ripped my heart to shreds. He's been through so much, I just want to give him a big hug! Kouhei receives my praise all the time but he does work super hard as a single parent - he deserves the praise! I would absolutely love it if the future father of my children was so loving and dedicated as Kouhei! Yuu is the most adorable character on this list, but he works super hard to support himself and his sister! He may act like a Prince at school, but behind the scenes he's truly a hardworking brother and dedicated friend, protective of those he holds dear, and will defend them no matter what. Kyouya Ootori is always going to appear on my blog somehow! He is definitely my first anime crush from almost ten years ago! Yes, he's rather mysterious, cold and sarcastic, but he does have a sense of humour that I just love! I also admire his determination and how hardworking he is. Kudos to him for putting up with the antics of the other Hosts! Finally, my number one spot goes to my favourite volleyball player - Sugawara. He's a great player on the court, but he's also a remarkable friend off the court too. He's considered the mom of the team, encouraging each member and allowing them to shine as he takes a step back. He's so selfless and kindhearted, and makes a massive impact on Hinata's journey and I find that so, so lovely. A slight #tbt to last year when I was watching Madoka Magica for the first time! Madoka was a show that was always recommended to me by friends at university, but I only managed to sit down and watch it last year. I loved every second of it and I'm sure the style and aesthetic of the series is one of my favourites so far. Looking back in my archives earlier this week, I found that around this time in 2019, I released the Drama anime edition of a segment I have called Anime for All. It's been a while since I've written such a post, but I am planning on getting some more of these posts together soon! That being said, I feel as though my recommendations in this post were spot on. The Pet Girl of Sakurasou explores the little details in life when the likes of talent, determination, romance and friendship all come together as we follow the story of a group of six misfits who have many little adventures and go through many trials and tribulations whilst attending Sui High. 5 Centimeters Per Second is a romantic drama that focuses on the reality of long-distance relationships. Unable to make any new memories together, Takaki and Akari cling to the hope of seeing one another once again. But are they just hurting themselves and the people around them by simply living their lives half-heartedly? AnoHana follows the story of a group of friends who are still trying to deal with the loss of a childhood friend named Menma. One hot summer day, Menma appears in front of the protagonist, Jinta, and pesters him to grant a forgotten wish. All of these are part of my Drama recommendations, but what anime would you recommend? Time to learn some trivia! 🤓 Toei Animation is the studio behind many famous works such as Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball and One Piece, but did you know that their mascot was from a 1969 adaptation of Puss in Boots? A manga of the well-known fairytale was created by Studio Ghibli legend Hayao Miyazaki before the movie was made. Miyazaki also provided the key animation for the film! JoJo isn’t my favourite anime of the decade by any means, but the societal impact really does make it stand out for Anime of the Decade. Honestly, I haven’t watched these three series (I don’t count the ~5 episodes of Bleach and the one episode of Naruto to be enough to judge the series as a whole), so I can’t exactly speak for the quality of the shows. Advising the new generation of bloggers is something I still feel ill-qualified to do, as I never practice what I preach, but there is a lesson that I want to share with those who may be just starting out – don’t treat your blog like That being said, as I’ve been on hiatus for a few months, I’m going to tag a few people who I have in mind to answer the questions below.
Since then, I have picked up an AC game for the Nintendo Wii, my 3DS, and even my mobile phone with the campsite spinoff, Pocket Camp. It’s safe to say that I have experienced many good memories thanks to this cute, animal-filled series, from playing City Folk online with my cousin to diving straight into the wider community and joining forums to meet more AC-obsessed people. Sure, the game is a little bit guided by the instructions given by the infamous tanuki Mr Tom Nook, but like the predecessors before it, New Horizons allows you to do whatever you want, whenever you want. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is exclusively available on the Nintendo Switch!
A lot has happened, it’s safe to say, but I do think now is the perfect time to make my return to blogging. Although it’s been somewhat quiet around here for the past two months, the blog has hit 300 followers and we’ve managed to (somehow?) I always feel disheartened to let her know that I’ve not been updating the blog too often since starting my new job, so at least now I have the motivation to start again. By all means, I plan to keep the blog looking as professional as I can, but I certainly don’t plan to be so rigid in terms of content.
