Welp, my Shorts are all privated from the YouTube channel (they're still available for members) and the drop in views has been STEEP. 😳😮‍💨 But... (Full video on YouTube) So there's a hurricane creeping towards us on the Gulf Coast. It's supposed to make landfall near us at a Cat 1-2. Maybe less than that if it loses steam. 🙏 I went shopping with the family and picked up some water, flashlights, candles, and sandwich supplies. This storm shouldn't be too bad, especially for us since we're on an elevated property. But anytime you lose power in Texas is not good. Ok, I promised to share my results after ONE MONTH of posting long form Videos daily and NO Shorts on YouTube. Here's the results. Income from long form pretty much doubled, impressions are up by 1M, views are up by about 100k, and click through rate went up by about 1.5%. This is all good, but not enough of an increase to warrant posting daily long form videos, especially if I'm doing NEW videos and will have to cover costs of supplies in addition to my time. One thing I noticed is that my Shorts are STILL getting recommended a lot more than my long form content and getting many more views (while earning much less) than my long form videos, so I thought, why not try going another month into this YouTube experiment... But this time, I'll private ALL of my Shorts, and ONLY post long form content during this time to see if the algorithm will pick up and recommend my long form videos MORE without the presence of Shorts on my channel. I posted this in today's video (already up on YouTube), but also wanted to post here. I promised a medical update. So, I'm happy to report that my kidneys are doing ok. 👏 However, my liver is struggling and my enzymes are still high due to medically induced liver injury from 7 weeks of intense antibiotics. 💔 I am working on recovering and hopefully my liver will be much better in a few weeks. So far the enzymes have only been going up, so I'm just working to cleanse and reduce inflammation so my enzymes can hopefully return to normal levels soon. 🙏 (I will talk about this more in the future, but what a horrible experience. 😮‍💨) My pain has started to subside this week and I am doing better, so thank you for all of your prayers and positive vibes. 💕🙏 I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and I asked them to look into a few more issues I've been having. They also tested me for cervical cancer, which I don't expect I have, but those results will be back in a week or two. Lots more tests in the coming weeks and likely a surgery. But I will update y'all more on that later. Thank you so much for all of your prayers and positive vibes! HEALTH UPDATE. Ok, so I'm still going through it with this UTI/kidney infection, but I had a new UA (urine analysis) test on Thursday that came back NEGATIVE. Unfortunately, these tests aren't the most accurate, so I have to wait on the UC (urine culture) results to see if this negative is legit or not. That will hopefully be in on Monday (tomorrow). Hoping and praying for a good result because these antibiotics are taking a TOLL on my body and I want to be done with them. 😓 Say some prayers for me y'all! 🙏 Anyway, feeling a bit better today, so I'm gonna try to finish up edits on some of my NEW videos. I just didn't have the energy or mental capacity for it until now.
