TBH, I’m really not a fan of brownies (unless they are paired with ice cream). HOWEVER, my mom made these brownie bombs, and I can’t tell you how incredible they are. They’re like lava cakes mixed with brownies and baked cream cheese. They’re incredible straight out of the oven or chilled. Restaurant review! OMC Smokehouse in Duluth, Minnesota 💙🌊💙 OMC Smokehouse is a staple for us whenever we visit one of our favorite areas, Duluth (one of our homes away from home). I’ve never had a reaction to their meats, collard greens and beans. Those are the options when you need to be gluten and dairy free. The servers and workers are kind and accommodating, know what they’re talking about, and always provide excellent service! I almost always get this platter that features chicken, brisket and ribs! 🤤❤️ The leftovers are amazing, and the collared greens and beans are lovely pairings with the meat. This may not be the prettiest thing you see on your feed today, but oh my goodness gracious… This pizza combo is dynamite. And it’s quick to make and FILLING. I didn’t even think to take a picture until I was one piece in, hence the low quality. 😂 I used @caulipower pizza crusts then slathered on a pretty generous layer of creamy PEANUT BUTTER. Say whaaaa?! You heard me right. After the PB surprise, add a layer of @classico_sauce pizza sauce, followed by salami (or pepperoni), pickled jalapeños, onions, olives and @violife_foods shredded cheese!!! Put it on the grill or in the oven, and when the cheese is done, you’re done. One bite of this and you’ll fly away to pizza heaven. I love this pizza with my whole heart, and as weird as the ingredient combo sounds, I know you will too. ⚠️ WARNING ⚠️ Be wary of this Lindt Oatmilk Chocolate Bar. It’s marked as both dairy and gluten-free, but as my sister and I found out, it’s not completely safe. Knowing how often oats are cross-contaminated (even GF ones) I was already leery of this chocolate bar. They say the oats are gluten-free, but are they just claiming that oats in general don’t contain the same gluten as celiacs react to, or are these oats actually certified GF? I don’t know. We DO know that even “certified GF oats” are sometimes contaminated, which is so discouraging. Nevertheless, my sister thought we would be safe seeing the “gluten-free” label, so our minds went into the “Oh, they’re specifically marked gluten-free, so it’s at least less of a risk” space. But then you scan a little farther down and see this contains glucose syrup, DERIVED FROM WHEAT. ⚠️ Both my sister and I react to this chocolate mild to moderately. ⚠️ I know about the whole “glucose syrup from wheat has gluten removed” claims, but regardless, I still had a mild reaction. Perhaps I have a wheat allergy as well as celiac, or perhaps there was cross-contamination, or other possibilities, but regardless, be wary of this product. Product review: Amylu Foods Teriyaki Pineapple Meatballs; found at Costco A couple of weeks ago we tried these delicious @amylufoods teriyaki pineapple meatballs! I added them to rice, cucumbers, avocado, onions, green onions, coconut aminos, sesame oil and spices. I had made the rice earlier in the day, so it was a quick meal to throw together for a delicious supper. Product review: Kevin’s Pork Belly Okay, so first off, I usually like Kevin’s products. They’re convenient, quick, antibiotic-free, gluten-free, non-GMO, tasty, and usually Paleo and dairy-free. This pork belly, though… it didn’t do it for us. The pork was extremely fatty. So fatty that 2/3 of each pork strip is just straight up fat. Combine that with the fact that it’s pork fat (which carries more toxins because of pigs’ quick digestive process) and that’s extra unappetizing to me. I refuse to eat the fat (I just can’t), so I was left with a heap of strips of fat on my plate. The citrus teriyaki sauce it comes with is delicious, though. I found this at Costco, btw. Taking into consideration the price (which is not cheap), the unappetizing meat (which is what the entire product is all about), the tasty sauce, the convenience, and the criteria it fits, I’ll give Kevin’s Pork Belly a 4.5/10. I won’t be buying it again since both my husband and I didn’t enjoy it. Have you tried it? What did you think? P.S. This is the face of a woman in pain. 🥵 The jalapeño lime flavor of @sietefoods chips have great ingredients, are super tasty, and HOTTTTT. Hot enough that this Scandinavian can’t handle eating a sequence of these chips well at all without taking breaks (which isn’t saying much). I do love some spicy/hot things, but my tolerance is low to medium compared to some people. You wouldn’t see me survive long on an episode of Hot Ones. If you LOVE HOT food, you’ll love this jalapeño lime flavor! But my tastebuds and digestive system are too sensitive. 😂 Yet here I am (after recovering for 10 minutes), eating another one.
