I will be honest and say that traveling to the beach with a toddler and an infant is no easy feat, but we planned ahead as best as we could and managed to have a great time! You still nap at least twice a day and Penelope only once so usually one of us would stay behind while you napped and the other took Penelope to the pool or the beach. In addition to the pool and the beach, we also visited the aquarium, visited our favorite little beach town, Murrell’s Inlet, ate lots of yummy seafood and walked the boardwalk. We did have to start supplementing a bit this month because my supply hasn’t been able to keep up (and frankly, I have not wanted to put in all the energy/work to boost it back up).
We didn’t catch fireworks this year due to early bedtimes, but we did spend the day at the pool! We feed you baby food just at “dinner” but will probably begin to introduce more food during the day. We did some gentle sleep training using the Ferber Method and after a few days, you got the hint and started sleeping like a champ! We knew you were ready to start sleep training when I realized that you weren’t starving when you woke up in the middle of the night.
She talked about how as Christians – in this very unsettling and sometimes scary world we live in – need not be fearful of our faith, of proclaiming God’s love and His love for us. Mid-sermon, Randy turned to me and said “It was not an accident that song came on this morning. We’ve tried a variety of foods now (apples, banana, pear, peach, mango, butternut squash, sweet potato, carrot, peas) and there isn’t a single one you haven’t disliked. You’re still a bit wobbly, but you can definitely hold yourself up for a few minutes at a time and are getting stronger by the day. You love jumping in your bouncer, eating baby food, playing with your various rattles and teethers and being tickled.
so we got to take advantage of some old clothes of Penelope’s, but I must admit I’ve had a lot of fun buying you some warm-weather clothes. You got your first “daycare” cold this month. We had a fun adventure this month when I took you and your sister to the zoo! You sweet girl spent the day going back and forth between being worn on me in the wrap and in the stroller taking naps throughout the day.
