A beloved family member recently passed away, and news around the world has been full of violence, pain, and injustice. The recent Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando has been devastating, Such an act of pure hate is unfathomable. I won't politicize this tragedy, but remember that love is stronger than hate, and no one deserves to be hurt for the gender(s) There are about a thousand and one things I am overdue on with this blog, and I will try to get back on track soon.

The LUNA mini 2 uses sonic vibrations to cleanse and exfoliate, and its bristles (called touch points) are made of silicone which can be washed with a gentle soap and warm water after use. The front of the LUNA mini 2 has smaller, softer touch points for use on normal/dry skin, with a small semi-circle of coarser ones at the top. FOREO recommends using the LUNA mini 2 for 15 second intervals on each part of the face (each cheek, chin, forehead, nose) -- when it's time to switch areas, the device will stop vibrating for a short moment, and the bottom section will light up. I can't tell you if the LUNA mini 2 is better than the Clarisonic, or even FOREO's other LUNA versions, but it's been a huge boon to my skincare regimen.
Recently I had the chance to try the new Lise Watier HydraForce Comforting Creme* ($45 CAD, 45 ml) through Glam Sense, Topbox's review program (free to join! ) The star ingredient in Lise Watier's HydraForce Comforting Creme is Gaspé algae extract, which Lise Watier says is, "A survivor of harsh environments, the Gaspé algae has developed a highly efficient resistance system, enabling it to thrive in severe conditions. Googling Gaspé algae, I only found reference to this product (or info about algae in the Gaspé river...), but searching the ingredient name (Laminaria Saccharina Extract), it seems to simply be a relative of brown algae.
