I'm a working mom doing my best to keep it all together with the help of some fancy illusions & sleight of hand! Runs on coffee & wine!
After going on a binge of health and anti-inflammation books, I have recently picked up a few really good books on parenting that I felt are worth sharing. None of the sleep techniques I read about and faithfully tried worked, leading to yet another parenting book break. However, recently I have read two other parenting books that are amazing This book is CRAZY informative and made me think about parenting in a whole new way.
It is time to kick off a new year… are you ready? I love the fresh start that a new year brings, so I am a total vision board/resolution loving gal. Whether you are into new year’s goals or not, I have created a list of 25 healthy & happy tips to make this next year the best one yet! A few of my own goals include: Spend less time on Instagram (I am beyond obsessed with Instastories) by putting my phone in a drawer as soon as I get home from work, read 30 books, continue to detoxify my home by getting rid of products with nasty chemicals and endocrine disruptors.
We know that essential oils can provide support for every system in the body– your skeletal system, muscular system, circulatory system, endocrine system (hello Mama hormone support! ), respiratory system, and immune system. I love using our oils to support our emotions, diffusing them in my home, swapping them out depending on our needs at the moment… freshening and purifying the air while I clean (thereby ditching candles and plug-ins that emit some pretty nasty toxins), energizing me in the morning while I start our day, stress relief during a tough day with 2 active little boys (the stress away oil is LIFE! ), sleep encouragement for all of us 😉 to name a few… For topical use, apply directly to your skin, or use a carrier oil such as fractionated coconut oil or jojoba oil to dilute the oil before applying to your skin. 5 drops Purification, 5 drops Thieves, 3 drops Lemon, 3 drops Frankincense, 1 drop Oregano, top with carrier oil in a 10ml glass roller bottle) Aside from topical application, there is the amazing option of diffusing your oils!
Every time I post a picture of my acupressure mat on my insta-stories I get a bunch of questions so I figured a blog post was due. (another reason why I love my standup desk) I had this mat on my Amazon wish list forever, until one day I decided to give it a try. The mat is supposed to help stimulate acupressure points on your body while also increasing blood flow to the area. There you go… everything you need to know about the crazy spiky mat you are always seeing on my insta-stories! 😉
