On March 15th I received an email from Shea Moisture announcing that I’d been chosen as a #SheaBassador for 2019! It’s beyond a dream come true to work with a company that’s inspired so much greatness in so many different communities. A company that’s played a huge role in my own journey to self acceptance and self love. She pushed me to try new things and through her I discovered my love for Shea Moisture and my own crazy, curly hair!

I’m trying to grab the time I have left in life and do everything I once couldn’t, but every time I’m one step closer, I seem to get many more feet behind. The cough is still there, but I’m trying to stay optimistic. The doctor said because of my condition and my immune system being compromised, my body isn’t fighting the infection as a healthy person’s (body) would. My advice to anyone, whether you’re autoimmune or not, if you have an aggressive cough that doesn’t seem to be getting any better after a while, see a medical professional.
