I’ve been hoping for the sunshine, but in the mean time, here are some rainy day activities for toddlers that we love around our house. I’ve been teaching my kids to read recipes and they love trying to tell me what’s next on the list of ingredients. Because we aren’t rushing out to play as much during the winter, we have more time at home to establish habits like having the kids make their bed each morning, organizing toys before bed and wiping down the counters. During that time, I can clean the bathroom or relax and read right outside the bathroom door.

Each year around this time, I start thinking about making and sending Christmas cards. You can go as simple as a traditional card (like this one) or a super-fancy gold foiled, fold out card (like this one). In the beginning there is nausea, excitement and frequent urination, to name a few. By the end there is discomfort, nightmares, and…more frequent urination.
