Project Valentine is an effort put together by Cheyanna’s Champions 4 Children (CC4C) in which they collect hundreds of hand-made, personalized cards for their 12 Champion Children. CC4C has evolved to focus on 12 Champion Children and their families each year, matching them with a Champion Teammate, becoming an honorary member of a high school “Dream Team,” and involvement with multiple support events throughout the year. Becker Wright Consultants is honored each year to contribute to Project Valentine and help uplift the Champion Children on this day filled with love! If you’re interested in getting involved with CC4C, check out their “Get Involved” page for more information.
The BWC Peak Performer Club consists of recruiters who have qualified within a 6-month time frame for the annual destination trip in January. In 2017, Becker Wright hit an all-time high of qualifying Peak Performers with a total of nine recruiters making the trip to Mexico. All in all, a group of 20 Becker Wright Consultants team members and accompanying friends and family traveled to Incline Village on the north side of Lake Tahoe for a beautiful four-night stay. The Peak Performer Trip is a culmination of a full year’s hard work and efforts from the entire team at Becker Wright Consultants.
Maybe we can transition from passive to active recruiting (we can help you there), maybe we can reach out to some candidates with the right skill sets who are in a different industry, maybe we can build a pipeline of candidates, maybe we can do some analysis and predict job openings from past and known data, maybe we can… Don’t just try each one individually, your team likely doesn’t have time for that – isn’t your time-to-fill setting (negative) records every week? Add new ones, dump some that aren’t working, but you’re going to have to use a full blitz strategy to be successful in this recruiting environment. Our friends at Monster surveyed 400 recruiting professionals in August 2018, and the research reveals that we’re not alone in suggesting that we draw up a blitz package for recruiting efforts: * 83% of recruiting professionals are now blitzing (taking a multi-faceted approach to recruiting) to find top-quality candidates…and they still report needing more top talent than they’re getting.
Stories like Sally’s are becoming increasingly common in 2018, but to take advantage of the remarkably good labor market conditions this year, having a job search strategy (plan) will significantly increase your likelihood for success. Sure, you’ll dazzle them in the interview and your resume is just words on a page but think of it this way: Your resume IS you to the recruiter or hiring manager who’s meeting you through those words on that page. This does not mean a re-write, it means taking the time to be sure that the bullet points and overall direction in your resume reflect those aspects of your background that make it easy for the recruiter or hiring manager to conclude that your background aligns with the most critical aspects of the role and gets you into the “call” pile. This process will require effort and time, so develop a realistic schedule for completing the basics (yourself, market, target, generic resume) and for actually pursuing those opportunities that are best next steps for you.
