Only a few hours remain in the year and as 2018 comes to a close, I am thinking about all of the new beginnings I witnessed this year. I thought it would be fun to close out the blog this year by looking back at all of the adorable, funny, sleepy, alert, hungry, happy, and cuddly newborns I photographed in 2018. On a personal note, one year ago today I was tucked in bed attending to some self care after coming down with mastitis. But as the sounds boomed outside and little miss Marlee was miraculously undisturbed, my attention turned to how good it felt to be resting in a cozy bed.
Lizzy and Joe share a Christmas tradition of finding the perfect tree to trim for the holiday. This year they invited me to capture the sweetest engagement memories and moments of them at their favorite tree farm. On July 2, 2018 Renee and Chris welcomed Tristan Rex into their arms. He arrived on his due date which makes him part of the 5% of babies delivered on their actual due date. Now I don’t have a statistic for the percentage of babies that sleep through their entire newborn session (I’d say less than 5%), but Tristan once again showed his skills for beating the odds, and peacefully napped for the entirety of his photo shoot.
