I can’t remember exactly how Val and I initially connected years ago, but somehow we had each heard about each other at around the same time and both creepily thought to ourselves (I as I was devouring her first book and Val as she was bingeing on my blog posts), “This girl thinks just like me! She is incredibly talented, business-savvy, and successful (Hello, she’s sold her products at Magnolia multiple times! ), but she’s also incredibly intentional with her family and personal life. If we have a chance to talk, I usually share some things I don’t do or compliment something I know that person is great at that I don’t do.
