So many times when I train my athletes, I have flashback moments to things my coaches have said to me in my high school/college days & drills that they used to do that always helped me as an athlete. I’ve touched on this so many times before, but when you start running into other lanes, not only will you get disqualified in a race, but you’ll disqualify yourself from YOUR potential. The more you put the work in, start moving forward, & stay in your lane, the more momentum you’ll pick up to do what you want to do. For the amount of time that you “work” you’ll want to give yourself 3-4X that amount to rest so that you can really hit the runs hard.
Looking back at different points in my life, each season I’ve gone through has truly built a foundation for the next, even if in the moment we didn’t see it that way. I’d let myself feel sorry for myself for a few minutes, but then flip the script and move forward by reminding myself that every setback has truly been a comeback on the other side. Looking back now, that season that I wanted to so badly be out of, has truly stripped away layers that I’ve been needing to let go. The Under Armour HOVR Sonic 3 shoe is a connected shoe with a pod embedded in the midsole of the right shoe connects via Bluetooth™ to MapMyRun™ app, allowing runners to track their run data without a device, receive virtual personalized coaching on the runner’s gait, stride length, pace and more.
I did just turn the big 3-1 so maybe Kasey 3.1? I’ve tried typing my “comeback blog post” about 1,000 times over the last 4 months and kept hitting delete. always loved blogging & Instagram for the connection, communication, inspiration, & having a place to share my story in hopes of helping others because when people show #realness, we’re comfortable to relate with them & feel not alone. doubt that my little (but loud) voice won’t be heard, doubt that my own personal struggles couldn’t help anyone else if I share them, doubt that even though I work to make a difference “behind the scenes” it won’t show, and afraid of what others would say if I share my story. When I finally looked in the mirror, what I saw was someone who needed to step up for herself, not judge herself, ask for help, GET help, get a team of therapists & specialists
It tends to not “whip” with just hot water and sugar and some people suggested using a can of pure coconut milk, letting it sit in the fridge over night to harden, and then using the coconut fat off the top of the can to whip with the matcha. When it comes to the addition of sugar, I always use my cup-for-cup Sugarless Sugar from Now Foods, that I’m quite frankly obsessed with and use in all of my baking as well, and wanted to experiment with it. Here are the basic recipes: Add the instant coffee, sugarless sugar, and warm water to a tall glass and use a hand-mixer to whisk vigorously until the mixture becomes thick & whipped (about 60-90 seconds on high) going in an up & down motion to add in more air.
