10 struggles of being a lazy perfectionist

I’m obsessed with perfection, but can’t quite get myself together enough to strive for it… And this is the thing – if it’s not going to be perfect, I don’t want to do it. So, in the knowledge that I won’t be able to do the room perfectly, I just don’t do it I’m so concentrated, other times I’ll forget what I’m… 5.

You can't always see an eating disorder: World Mental Health Day

A myth perpetuated by Hollywood – virtually every movie created depicting eating disorders centre around a severely skinny (and white) woman. and I was a) too scared to tell them that I really wasn’t (they had already worried enough about me) and b) too embarrassed to tell them that I was someone at a very healthy weight that still very much had an eating disorder. Not Otherwise Specified, where a person has an eating disorder that doesn’t meet the criteria for anorexia or bulimia. The vast majority of those that fall into the bulimia or the EDNOS categories are in the normal weight range, meaning the assumption that someone who might be overweight or have a normal BMI couldn’t possibly have an eating disorder is dangerous and almost certainly prevents a timely diagnosis.

Why I fell out of love with Instagram

I created an account, uploaded (what I thought was a) cute profile pic and started to share snaps of the new clothes I’d bought recently, along with selfies showing new make-up launches and pics with celebrities I was interviewing for HELLO! He just doesn’t get how I don’t get it. Anyway, I felt like I blinked and suddenly my feed was littered with girls posting incredible pictures twice a day, girls who were hiring photographers and travelling the world to get Insta-worthy content and editing and planning the content to ensure a cohesive feed. I post what I want, when I want, and I don’t care whether people are going to like it or not.

A super affordable, cruelty free make-up brand you need to check out ASAP

Not only it is a Leaping Bunny-approved brand (this globally certifies it as cruelty free), but it is seriously affordable – and good quality to boot. The lipstick has a nice, glossy finish – it’s not matte and drying, it actually leaves a lovely moisturising feel to the lips In fact, every product from the collection contains a moisturising ingredient that you would typically find in skincare – think Aloe Vera, Jojoba Oil, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin B3 ad Hyaluronic acid. We need socially responsible make-up brands and the fact that Boutique is able to do and at a such an amazing price tag is huge in my book.
