Is this the most exciting bar in London right now? 😲⁠ ⁠ SWEETIES is the hot new spot up on the 10th floor of @thestandardlondon. Formerly a private space used for celebrity-filled parties, it’s now a cocktail bar, discotheque and late-night lounge that’s open to the likes of you and me - and it should definitely be top of your to-do list!⁠ ⁠ Surrounded by incredible floor-to-ceiling views of the London skyline you can sip your way through a menu of ‘naturally mood-boosting’ cocktails created by mixologists (and good friends of Delightful!) @jacksotti and @toddaustin_.⁠ ⁠ 💖 Already Insta-famous, the raspberry-topped ‘Frothy Boi’ is a gin cocktail designed to perk up the palate - a twist on the Clover Club that’s made with lacto-rhubarb cordial, raspberry eau-de-vie, pink pepper, and gut-friendly amazake oats.⁠ ⁠ 🤤 The sweet and indulgent ’No Whey José’ is our new favourite dessert - a warm salted coconut foam sits on top of a perfectly balanced combination of rose petal-infused tequila, strawberry cordial, red rice milk distillate, and red ginseng vermouth. Both hot and cold, it’s a textural masterpiece!⁠ ⁠ 🥚 But the highlight on our visit was the ‘WAP’ - a reimagining of the classic nog. If horchata and an old fashioned egg custard tart had a cocktail baby, it’d probably taste something like this. Silky, unctuous and creamy - the perfect after-dinner treat.⁠ ⁠ Take a date, bring some mates, or sit at the bar and enjoy it solo. ⁠ ⁠ If you can’t tell, yes we do think this is probably the most exciting bar in London right now. You know how if you hold a shell to your ear you can hear the sea?⁠ ⁠ Well, if you hold this one to your lips you can taste it! 🐚⁠ ⁠ Seaweed-infused gin is the star here, combined with fruity bergamot, delicate lavender and a touch of ginger. Recreate a cocktail from one of the world's most iconic bars - the multi-award-winning American Bar inside @thesavoylondon.⁠ ⁠ The rich and famous (and us - neither rich NOR famous) have been drinking here since the bar opened back in 1904.⁠ ⁠ This is the recipe for their 'Curtain Call' cocktail, a seriously elegant sip that's demonstrated here by former Senior Bartender @juris_kenins.⁠ ⁠ Sesame-infused gin brings nutty notes, there's sweetness from the fig liqueur and rich bitterness from the coffee amaro, while the pop of the cork signals the finishing touch - the delicate champagne top up!⁠ ⁠ Have you been to this legendary bar yet? #DelightfulDrinks⁠

Pretty in pink and delicious to drink, it's the Clover Club!⁠ 💓⁠ ⁠ This pre-Prohibition-era cocktail was first created in Philadelphia in the early 1900s, and was named after a men's club in the city.⁠ ⁠ It fell out of favour for a while but has made a comeback in recent years - and deservedly so as this drink is fruity, fluffy deliciousness!⁠ ⁠ If you want to make it like they do at Brooklyn's excellent @cloverclubny, here's @mixtressnyc's recipe for an updated take on the classic: - ⁠ ⁠ 1.5oz Gin⁠ 0.5oz Dry Vermouth⁠ 0.5oz Lemon Juice⁠ 0.5oz Raspberry Syrup⁠ 0.25oz Egg White⁠ ⁠ Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake until chilled.⁠ ⁠ Strain to remove the ice and shake again (dry shake) - this gives the drink its extra foamy texture.⁠ ⁠ Strain into a chilled glass and garnish with fresh raspberries.⁠ ⁠ Now we're thirsty! Formula 1 racing star @jensonbutton has hung up his car keys to launch the latest celebrity-owned alcohol brand. 🏎 🏁⁠ ⁠ Created in partnership with whisky expert @georgekoutsakis_, @coachbuiltwhisky is a premium blended Scotch whisky made with liquids sourced from all five iconic whisky-producing regions of Scotland - Islay, Speyside, Campbeltown, Highlands and Lowlands. After blending, the whisky is extra-matured in ex-sherry casks before being bottled at 46% ABV.⁠ ⁠ We tried the spirit earlier this week at a glitzy launch event held in the stunning surrounds of the @bookingoffice inside @stpancrasren hotel. The whisky worked brilliantly as the base for a number of delicious cocktails created by Bar Manager @poured.by.porter, but we especially enjoyed drinking it neat.⁠ ⁠ It’s obvious that a lot of love, passion and expertise has gone into this one - if you get the chance to try a dram we recommend it! 🥃 #DelightfulDrinks⁠
