Inc. (SSR), a leading information technology services provider supporting small to mid-sized businesses, announced today that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named SSR to its 2021 Managed Service Provider (MSP) 500 list in the Pioneer 250 category. CRN’s 2021 MSP 500 list identifies the market’s key managed services players who are setting themselves apart with best-of-breed solutions that provide the business outcomes customers need. The MSP 500 list is divided into three sections: the MSP Pioneer 250, recognizing companies with business models weighted toward managed services and largely focused on the SMB market; the MSP Elite 150, recognizing large, data center-focused MSPs with a strong mix of on-premises and off-premises services; and the Managed Security 100, recognizing MSPs focused primarily on off-premises and cloud-based security services. The solution providers on CRN’s 2021 MSP 500 list deserve recognition for their innovative and forward-thinking approaches to managed services, and the ability to optimize operational efficiencies and systems to maximize return on investments.”
The funds raised throughout 2020 will go to helping St. Thomas More continue to build programs that provide students with the skills, experience, and professional certifications required for jobs in high-demand industries, such as healthcare and manufacturing. Led by dedicated faculty and ambitious administrators, St. Thomas More High School provides a rigorous and innovative college preparatory education that emphasizes student engagement, intellectual curiosity, and personal growth. One example is their award-winning Project Lead the Way program, a research-driven curriculum of engineering, biomedical sciences, and computer science. This program incorporates mentors from the professional world, including engineers, business owners, researchers, and doctors, who help students with organization, scope, and planning of their project while providing unique insight into the everyday life of their occupation.
The scramble for parts cuts across various segments — from basic materials like glass and substrates to semi-finished components such as displays, one of the priciest bits of many electronic devices. — all of which are made by companies such as TSMC and UMC and supplied to different chip developers to fulfill device-builders’ demand further down the supply chain. Shortages across the spectrum of technology leave small and mid-sized businesses in a bind as they continue to adjust to new work conditions and attempt to either address their own industry’s demand or make up for lost revenue over the past year. Here are a few dos and don’ts as you assess your technology needs: Technology purchasing teams, like ours, scour several vendors daily watching for devices that fit the needs of clients.
Outdated operating systems (OS) and transfer layer security (TLS) will create security and functionality gaps as third parties disable compatibility. Moreover, as we continue to layer and connect software and systems, maintaining security protocols makes updates more critical because maintaining security across all systems within the environment is reliant on each component being up to date. Once out of support, all endpoints using Trend Micro will be required to support TLS 1.2 (see Operating Systems that Cannot Support TLS 1.2 to the right) to function properly. These applications include web browsers like Google Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, and Mozilla Firefox, as well as device operating systems like Windows, MAC, and Linux (for a full compatibility list, see GlobalSign’s compatibility tables).
