Yesterday was Chandler’s first day as a “big girl” and she was absolutely ready! It was important for me to carve out her own space that wasn’t in my studio, but close enough so that I could hear if she needed my help. I gave the walls a fresh coat of paint and instead of painting an accent wall, I decided on a colorful design which gave it a fresh updated pop of color. I used this washi tape which was only $15.00 for two and the whole process took less than 30 minutes.

It’s one of those perfectly easy to wear dresses cute enough for a date night and comfy enough for Saturday errands. And this medium weight extra drapey crepe fabric from G Street Fabric is divine. When it comes to fabric, I’m typically drawn to solids. I’m still trying to decide what I plan to make with the others, but this dress was one I thought would be perfect. If you’ve never worked with Ankara, it’s a crisp thin fabric with a wax-like coating that sews, cuts and irons like a dream. So when I see these elaborate tight fitting Ankara dresses, I’m really in awe.

They were either way too modern, way too short, way too flimsy or way too much glass and metal. When the 18″ pipes are in and flanges are attached, flip the cart right side up and screw in the flanges to the top of the middle shelf. After the middle board is attached, and the flanges are securely screwed in, screw in the 12″ tubes. Attach the top flanges, screw in the glassware rack on the bottom side of the top board and place the top board following the steps above.
