For some reason, babies can't be babies in public only at home. Not only do I look like a teen mom because I was blessed with the skin of a 5-year-old (God forbid I walk out of the house without makeup) you feel judged. The third time I guess I should just stop inviting you places, or just stop making the effort. Know that it's scary and sometimes overwhelming going outside of the safety of your own home with a baby.
With a new baby and a new perspective on life, I felt like it was time for a change. (If you're ever in the Houston/ Pearland Area and need your hair done check out give and a new perspective on life, I felt like it was time for a change. but sometimes I chose to clean up, take a nap, write a little bit, edit pictures, or read a couple articles instead of working out while the little drool monster sleeps (which she’s starting to do less and less of) so caught up in our routines that we need to take a step back and remind ourselves that we’re doing our best and that it’s ok to lean on other people when you need a little pick-me-up or some words of inspiration.
I took deep breaths and after an hour of contractions I told my mom what was happening, she told me to wait to call the doctor when they were less than 5 minutes apart, but I already knew we’d be making a trip to the hospital today, I felt it in my bones. The doctor said her head was too big, and in the back of my mind, I remember all those moms telling me my body wouldn’t make a baby that was too big for me. When people would come to visit it honestly made me feel worse, I knew they were here to see our baby not me, yet I had no baby to show them. A little later we had gotten a call with a very happy nurse telling us that we would have a baby in our room that night.
