Its been one massive year for all of us here at the studio and the year is still steaming ahead with 3 huge and exciting weddings still to shoot before the year comes to a close. Instagram really became our home throughout the year, sharing little snippets of what we’ve been up too. We’ve come to realise it only shows a tiny slice, so in 2017 we’ll be back blogging to share even more of everything we are all getting up too both here in Brisbane and around the globe.

Feathers and lace, beading and bows, satin and sheer, ruffles, rouging and delicate details. I am so excited to reflect back on the variety of styles from the past year and while I will always love a gorgeous strapless gown (and the ones worn here are perfection) I have always thought there was something timeless about sleeves on a wedding dress, be they long and lacy or demure Kristy’s Luci Di Bella gown and the recycled lace of Gyan’s dress.

I love this beautiful city that we live in. That river as it ebbs and flows is like a heart beat to the city. And as that heart beats, children grow up, people eat, exercise, work and live as they choose, friends meet and lives change. A ceremony at St Stephen’s chapel and reception where the ships long ago came at historic Customs House.
