The Fictionals are back at Capital City Comic Con for our third year in a row! Capital City Comic Con is a celebration of comics, family fun, special guests and pop culture of all kinds. The convention from March 20 to 22 features celebrity signings, cosplay, artists and more in Victoria Conference Centre and Crystal Garden! Join us for a special Improv Against Humanity at #CapCityComic 2020 on Saturday, March 21 in the afternoon!
The Rio Theatre is hosting a massive Mad Max Movie Marathon on Saturday, January 25 to benefit Aussie Bushfire Relief. We’re honoured to help with comedy for a cause, and invite you to come support as well! The Rio will be screening all four of George Miller’s post-apocalyptic classics – MAD MAX, THE ROAD WARRIOR, BEYOND THUNDERDOME and FURY ROAD. The event will celebrate Australia Day (January 26), plus funds raised will directly benefit the important work being done by the Australian Red Cross.
The Fictionals are back at Yuk Yuks Vancouver on Thursday, April 16 for ROUND 3 of the comedy competition: Knockout Punchlines! 16 comedians, 4 random teams, and one epic showcase of Vancouver Comedy starting at 8 pm. Claire Pollock, Alan Pavlakovic, Cassie Barradas, Alex Gullason, Kia Rae, Taylor Ray, Brad Duffy, Rachel Kent, Holly Taylor, Bryan Clark, Jacki Gunn, and Jeff Cooper Hosted by Daniel Chai The winning team – as voted on by the audience – will win the Knockout Punchlines Title Belt and the chance to come back to defend their title!
Vancouver Improv Fight Club celebrates the month of love on Tuesday, February 11 at Cafe Deux Soleils. Joining us for Valentine’s Day Destruction is special guest stand-up Nina Wilder! Nina Wilder will perform a stand-up set at Cafe Deux Soleils that will inspire our two Vancouver Improv Fight Club teams! Hot Improv Tuesdays with special guest Nina Wilder on February 11 starts at 8 pm (doors at 7:30 pm).
