The last week of incredible sunshine and warmer weather reminded me that I most likely didn’t have Spring clothes that would fit the kids! Does any one else feel like every time they open their kid’s drawers and pull out something for them to where,  they’ve someone already outgrown it? Especially Blake he is getting so big so fast, that first year not only speeds by but they grow so quickly out of their adorable little clothes. With Easter just around the corner and the sun making more frequent appearances, I wanted to get a few fun and cheerful pieces for the kids

The kitchen really is the heart of the home; it’s where you gather each day to share a meal with your family, talk about your day and connect with each other. From early morning breakfasts and cozy dinners to hosting family gatherings, birthday parties and those last minute gathering that seem never to leave the kitchen (those are my favourite); We really made endless memories in this kitchen with our family and friends. If you are embarking upon designing your kitchen space, whether it be a renovation or starting from a new build here are some tips that I have learned from this past home build and what I am doing differently in our new home. Add design elements that add textures, materials and tones such as hardwood floors ( I used Oak Hardwood), shiplap (you’ll notice I added this to the ceiling), tile ( from counter all the way up and around the doors and windows to the ceiling) and stone/ marble.

Every year I seem to forget just how beautiful and magical this time of year is This month will definitely go by fast for us, with lot’s of progress happening on our home build and an upcoming trip to Maui mid April with our family. This month’s digital download is all about one of our favourite  spring florals peaking out from the grass, Forget-Me-Knots! They are delicate and simple with a soft dusty blue hue, a definite sign that spring has arrived.

BUT Today I am bringing you more photos of the house and sharing: the main floor living space, kitchen, butlers pantry, kids playroom off the kitchen, powder room, dining room, office, kids bedrooms, master bedroom and bonus room. I’m going to be digging into each space in separate blog posts, sharing more detailed shots and information about each space. At the bottom of this post you’ll see all the building details, please don’t hesitate to ask any questions and we’ll be sure to answer in a prompt manner.
