Love is something we want year round and is something that I have shifted to giving in a form of experiences; gifting a trip or scheduling a fun outing! Since karaoke bars can be intimidating (and have supppperrrr long waits to actually get up on stage), a great alternative is to rent an entire karaoke room for you and your friends. If you and your pals are as obsessed with Downton Abbey as much as I am, host a high tea (who doesn’t love a good spread of dainties, sandwiches and of course tea while enjoying an afternoon with friends? ! ). An activity like bowling, ice skating or the like is a great way to add a bit of activity, competition and surely lots of laughs.

What I Ate Wednesday!

The posts were one of my most requested and most read, so I captured my food for the day from start to finish. The bowl was a bit messy, but it was a delicious lunch. The chocolate totally satisfy my sweet tooth. The cold weather makes me crave roasted vegetables, baked meals and soups all day.

It is officially winter here in Michigan; the snow rolled in all day Saturday, which made for a perfect play day! When they headed upstairs for a nap, I quickly started prepping a huge pot of chili for dinner (allowing the flavors to simmer all day makes the best soup IMO). The weekend has been bitterly cold, so I’ve been spending the days in my warmest, coziest sweaters. Tone It Up & BBG Challenges are ON!

Monday kicked off the eight-week TIU Love Your Body Challenge and I’m participating for the fourth year! I’m mixing the workouts week-by-week based on three factors; time, workout type and intuition. My plan is to review the weekly workout schedules on Sunday and map out my week knowing I can switch things up if need be. For nutrition, I’m returning to the TIU Nutrition Plan as a source of inspiration.
