The bridge between Ocean Pointe and Hoakalei looks like it's done. Excited for it to open so we could ride our bikes through.
A better way to see the beauty along the windward coastline is by taking the walk/bike path from Kapaa to Kealia.
Since we were in Poipu, we stopped at the boat harbor with a great view of spouting horn in the distance.

So far on my papale.... This cohort journey has culminated to this point. I am so close to finishing my papale. In previous classes, we learned weaving concepts that initially were so difficult. Now we know how to put them together to "make anything," as my Kumu would say. Although we have reached this point, there is so much more to learn. Now we have confidence to try new things.

Today was our last class for Cohort 8. We began our lauhala weaving journey in July 2023. There were times of frustration learning something new and celebration when we figured it out. We learned weaving concepts and aesthetics from Kumu Kaeo, @native.narcissism, and we will proudly continue learning and weaving as we join the community of weavers that he created, Hui Waianuhea o ka Pua Hala.
Since we both caught a cold, we couldn't go to Kauai to play fireworks tonight, but we got a close up view of the #1 Ewa Beach and #2 Wai Kai fireworks.
