Got new appliances: this is not shown in the picture, but we updated the stove, the fridge and the dishwasher with new black stainless steel versions. Took down wood paneling: first of all, wood paneling = terrible. Second of all, The wood paneling was held on with glue. I had to ask in a lot of favors to get people to help scrap the glue off the sheet rock so we could actually have a flat wall.
