🇬🇧 It was one hell of a long weekend in Montreal. Fireworks, music festivals, food, spa, great time with friends. Such a fun place to live in! #mtlstyle #mtllifestyle #mtlinfluencer #qcblogger #mtlstories #mtlville #expatmontreal #pvtmtl

🇬🇧 I’m lost for words on this one. Another surreal experience and a fabulous way to end a vacation in France. It’s too bad that I didn’t have my gown to attend the masquerade ball. However, it did give me an idea on how to end Book 3 😉. 😉 #versaillesgardens #balmasquĂ©versailles #wouldibehappy #writerlife #montrealtravelers #canadiantraveller #thisisfrance

🇬🇧 I got stuck back in time for a week in Normandy. It was a surreal experience. The 80th anniversary D-Day celebrations were amazing. I went to places I had never been to before and learned so much. It did give me time to reflect on myself and my life. So many young men died on D-Day so that my country could be liberated. They had their whole lives in front of them, yet they enlisted. It was a different era for sure, but look at the state of the world 80 years later, it seems that we have learned nothing.😱 đŸ‡«đŸ‡·J’ai remontĂ© le temps pendant une semaine en Normandie.

🇬🇧 Book 2: What Happens Next. A friend told me: “You are one of the strongest person I’ve met. I mean, you’ve been thru a lot of hardđŸ’©. You should give yourself credit for going thru all this and still be here.” Over a year ago, I didn’t think I would make it out to the other side, yet here I am. I could not have done it without my village, and random strangers who just by magic help me turn my life around. I’m still going thru it, it’s not a sprint, but Charlie and I will get to where we need to be eventually.

#literaryjourney #literaryjournal #literarysymphony #mtlauthor #frenchcanadian #writingcommunity #carlotasweb #symphonielittĂ©raire #writersjourney

1 WEEK ROAD TRIP IN GASPÉSIE FROM MONTREAL – TALES OF A SINGLE MOM *

It’s located two hours away from PercĂ©, less than 15 minutes away from the Bioparc, 1h15 minutes from Miguasha National Park, and a good 9-hour drive from Montreal. I didn’t own a tent at the time and to be honest, I don’t even know, to this day, how to start a fire. It’s located on an island close to Riviere du Loup, 4 hours away from Montreal and 1 hour away from National Park of Bic. Don’t confuse the island with the river or the town as the island is two hours away from them.

5 CITIES TO VISIT FROM PARIS IN ONE DAY WITH KIDS *

On your way to the castle from the train station, you’ll walk through one of the main streets of Rambouillet. It’s located about 80km away from Paris on the same train line as Rambouillet. In fact, you’ll walk anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes to and through the town center from the train station Reims-Ville. The charm of this town in the region of Alsace will lure you into making the 2h30 train journey from Gare de l’Est in Paris.

HOW TO TRAVEL TO FRANCE FROM MONTREAL DURING THE COVID-19

Booking your airline tickets and getting your passport during Covid-19 I had applied for Blondie Bear’s Canadian passport before leaving for my trip to Vietnam and then Covid-19 happened. While looking for plane tickets, I noticed that plane tickets were a lot cheaper in August, more than usual. Once inside the plane, the flight attendants will give you a small care package including a mask, disinfectant wipes and disinfectant gel. To get from Paris Charles de Gaule Airport to Mulhouse, we had to take an RER train to Paris and then a train from Gare de Lyon (train station in Paris) to Mulhouse.

CARLOTA'S WEB ACTIVITIES TO DO WITH KIDS OUTSIDE PARIS *

If you are looking into doing actual activities with the kids as part of your day trips outside Paris, there are a couple worth mentioning. It doesn’t matter what kind of activity you do with your kids, it’s all about making memories and opening their minds and stimulating them to new things. If you are looking for ideas of activities you can do with your kids wherever you live, check out your local newspaper. Although I personally wouldn’t go out of my way to visit it, you can make a pit stop there on your way for an overnight stay in Normandy or to visit the Chateau de Versailles on your way back to Paris.
