It all started when I heard about the idea of celebrating your birthday as the first day of your personal new year. It resonated with me so profoundly that I decided to embrace this concept and make my birthday, which falls on June 15th, the official beginning of my new year. We often put so much emphasis on January 1st, making resolutions and setting goals for the year ahead. But let's be honest, how many of us actually stick to those resolutions? Life gets in the way, we lose motivation, and before we know it, another year has passed without much progress. By shifting our focus to our birthdays, we have a chance to make meaningful and lasting changes in our lives. Hey everyone! I'm excited to update you on the progress of my documentary, 'Caught In The Middle.' It's been quite a journey filled with challenges and delays, but I'm thrilled to announce that we have finally entered the post-production phase! As we dive into the editing process, I stumbled upon a gem while reviewing the footage for our 'Emotions' episode. Although I flubbed on a word, the message behind it is compelling, and I couldn't resist sharing it with all of you. Perhaps it will find its way back into the documentary's final cut. Still, even if it doesn't, I felt compelled to encourage all past, current, and future caregivers out there that they can acknowledge their feelings ( no matter how raw) and still honor their loved ones. On that note, I want to give a huge shoutout to my incredible Director of Photography, Charles Hairston. As an artist, I can be a bit quirky and have my fair share of madness and crazy-ass notes, but Charles has been a true rockstar in bringing my vision to life.
