When I reviewed the original a little while ago, I hadn’t planned on following it up with another ToeJam & Earl title so soon. At times, the layout and the multitude of characters can make the game-world look pretty chaotic, but with the greater variety of enemies and objects (which still includes a lot of series’ favourites), I can’t really drop the score lower. 4/5 – I’ll reiterate from my review of the original, that if you don’t like the search-gameplay aspect of this game, then you’ll probably find the game more tedious than fun. I would even recommend this to those who maybe find the original game a little too slow-paced – but admittedly the game really is just a shinier, more polished version of the original.

The previous race’s winner was sadly not up-to-snuff today and Bottas really only took the podium thanks to Ferrari’s miserable luck. Both of Racing Point’s drivers have now made the scoreboard, but I have to be candid and admit that I’m not horribly impressed with the former Force India’s performance. Giovinazzi is doing moderately better than in the previous race, but frankly he didn’t impress me with his driving, especially having bumped Kvyat into a spin early in the race. The Bahrain round was an absolute disaster for Renault as both Nico Hülkenberg and Daniel Ricciardo retired on the same lap with their engines giving out, which resulted in the race-ending Safety Car session.

ToeJam & Earl is a classic weirdo action-adventure title from the Sega MegaDrive (Genesis) and I’ve recently have been enjoying it on the Sega MegaDrive Classics Collection on Xbox One. The goal of the game is to explore maps (either randomized or fixed pre-created) searching for pieces of ToeJam & Earl’s space ship and for the exit to the next level. 4/5 – There are a lot of funny and goofy sound-effects, ToeJam & Earl’s little sound-bites being particularly fun. I wish there was maybe just a bit more sound-effects since most of the time you’re really just listening to the background music, but I also have to say the sound-design does fit the game’s sense of humour very well.

Conventional Trek wisdom has stated that the even-numbered Star Trek films are the good ones and the uneven numbered ones are the bad ones. Also, as someone who was never a fan of the ugly red jackets the Enterprise crew dawned for the rest of the film series, I found this movie’s off-beat and serene costume and set design to actually be quite refreshing. The Motion Picture is a flawed film but once you get past the slow opening, it’s a very well-crafted scifi film and very entertaining. The Original Trek crew: particularly Kirk, McCoy’s space beard and Spock being Spock.
