Fly your drone clooooooooose to things! Get more dramatic shots by flying CLOSER to things. Not yet confident? Try flying DIRECTLY UP while STANDING UNDER your drone. Gimbal is pointed forward (not at you) and you are able to LOOK at the drone (to make sure you’re not going to hit something) and LOOK at the controller (to make sure the shot looks right). Obstacle avoidance is off (otherwise in this shot, the drone would potentially jump into the tree) I am flying SLOW! 🤘🏽Get over 100 drone tutorial reels! GIVE DRONE EXTRA TIME TO FIND GPS + CALIBRATE IT! I just landed in Mexico. Chillllllllll. Give your drone time to “acclimate” (i.e. a few more seconds). What happens if you DO NOT? Your drone can “drift” - i.e. have a difficult time picking up on GPS and if you’re flying in ANY kind of tight space, or launch your drone near something, it’s not uncommon for it to well.. drift into that thing. It takes just a minute, calibrate it! 💥 How to: -Three dots -Safety -Calibrate drone PEOPLE ALWAYS MESSSGE ME “PSHHHHHT I DONT HAVE TO CALIBRATE. I NEVER DO THAT” My response? Great! Do you, boo. But when you DO have a flight in which you realized “ohhhhhh sh** I needed to calibrate my drone” then sorry not sorry Someone just messaged me about how their drone drifted into a waterfall. CENTER your subject, then simply fly the drone 🆙 With the gimbal looking down, use the left stick and fly your drone directly up. No rocket science here. *Helpful tip: I like to TURN ON all grid lines so I can help to make sure the subjects are lined up. How? FOMO ALERT ⚠️ CAMP INDIE 2024 WAS AN EPIC BADASS TIME We camped. We connected. We adventured. We played pickleball (and 5 million other things) and if you’re watching the content thinking “oh that looked fun” - tbh, it’s whatever you’re thinking x1,000 Actually I lied… We DID NOT camp, we stayed in cute little rustic cabins at clubetaway with private bathrooms and air conditioning units and options for solo cabins if you’re an introvert like me (lol) 💥 A few highlights… ▪️I spoke on stage about BADASSERY in getting after what you want in LIFE and at CAMP ▪️We got pickleball courts setup and we played A LOT. I was so excited to pass on my @rallyrepublicofficial ⚡️ paddle to another camper ▪️I got to connect with so many old friends and make SO many new friends. There were nearly 200 of us this year ▪️I got to be inspired by amazing speakers like @honeytrek and hear their learnings from being on a 12+ year honeymoon traveling the world ▪️We partied - from karaoke, to bonfire chats to a thrift store pajama dance party - all with an open heart and … an open bar 😉 lol JOIN US NEXT YEAR. Loved my stay this week at @walkerhotels ❤️ Fave parts of this hotel… ▪️The Flower Shop rooftop deck had beautiful views of the city and was such a vibe ▪️Downstairs you could find the hidden speakeasy Saint Tuesday with live music and a great cocktail list ▪️The hotel location was SO good. I was literally steps from more than one train line so I could easily get around the city, but tbh, never left the neighborhood because there was so much nearby ▪️The corner king on the top floor had these amazing views of the city Such a good stay! 😍😍😍 pretty right?? #walkerhoteltribeca
