HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY! 💥💜✨ I am so so lucky to be surrounded by strong, fun, amazing women! Here are just a few of them... My @altaskiarea ladies 💃 they are spunky, motivated, supportive, funny, and an all-around awesome time always! #yearofthealtalady (obviously not all shown here) My mom @wendychapmanw 👩🎤 scientist, professor, friend, confidant, etc etc I could go on and on. My mom has always had a passion for her career and has pushed the limits of how far she can go. She inspires me everyday to be thoughtful and kind but also daring. She started skiing 5-6 years ago and can shred all of Alta now - one of her last runs last year was Perlas! So rad! Rachel @racheldal2 🤯 sister, thinker, devil's advocate, family. I don't know how my brother got so lucky but we love having her in our family. I can sit and talk about life with Rachel for hours and I can't wait for her to keep pushing my intellect. She's never afraid to stand up in an argument and challenge all sides. Sarah @thisgirlnamedsarah 🧚♂️ I have grown so close to Sarah in such a short amount of time and I'm so grateful for her role in my life. Sarah is open to vulnerability, an amazing friend, and so much fun to be around. She's my sounding board and one of my all-time favorite ski buddies. Can't wait for more days with you! Jessica @pringlemiester ☀️ comic, best friend, all-around beautiful human. I've been friends with Jessica since 9th grade and even though we live states away from each other, we still manage to be there for each other through all the highs and lows. Love you lady, here's to many more years of laughing and crying together! After a lot of changes in my life this year, I'm so excited to be building my circle with fantastic, beautiful, motivating women. (Not pictured my favorite girl Alta Bo Balta who blesses all my days with kisses and a desire for adventure 🐾💓)
I spent the time catching her up on recent events in my life, specifically with my ex, and explaining the freedom and contentedness in myself that I have begun to feel. I found it fascinating to listen to these people discuss things from their high school sweethearts to their first job to morality and mortality. This was by far my favorite discussion group that I have attended, and not because my parents’ discussion groups were lacking in substance or interesting topics. I will doubt myself, return to old (or maybe new) bad habits, feel stalled in my evolution, and be consumed by anxiety and depression time and time again.
