So today I was determined to nail this combo I learned a few weeks back. It’s still not perfect. I wanted to cry. It’s so exhausting to do and my camera didn’t film the first 3 attempts! But then I watched this and all I could do was notice imperfections. I started being really cruel to myself in my head— then, I stopped. It’s ok to not be perfect, I told myself. It’s ok to make mistakes, or have your tag poke out. You’re doing incredible things, and that is BEAUTIFUL. So today, if you start being cruel to yourself about mistakes, try some self love and self acceptance, actively. It really does help. Haven’t posted in a while because I’ve been enjoying the holidays. Sadly that means I put on a few holiday pounds, but I’m not stressing it. I feel healthy, and I know I’m on the path to better fitness & health. Christmas was an utter delight for me. I did get a pair of new 9 (NINE!) Ok y’all. I took a class from @bodyandpole online. I learned two new moves and then combined them into a freestyle. In the process I definitely over did it and now I’m shaking but omg it was so worth it!!!! I kept pushing through and telling myself I could do this...and then I did it! First of all, I’m back! Back from where? I had Covid...and then needed an extra two weeks to recover my lungs after I got better. Lesson for you all: don’t get COVID. Not worth it.
