Iger, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company, and global pop icon and judge of ABC’s “American Idol,” Katy Perry. It is the perfect time for Minnie to be recognized on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and join other Disney characters: Donald Duck, Tinker Bell, Winnie the Pooh, Snow White, Kermit the Frog, and, of course, Mickey Mouse, who received his star in 1978 in recognition of his 50th Anniversary at that time.
But, the Beignet Dash is such a fun, unique event that happens every Sunday at Walt Disney World’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort. I saw it on Facebook several months ago and started searching on the Walt Disney World web site for specific details. Well, it’s a 1.5 mile run through Port Orleans Resort every Sunday morning. When you complete the run, you will get a plastic medal, a goody bag with Mardi Gras themed trinkets, and a voucher for beignets at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory!

I can’t believe it’s almost time for our elves, Raleigh and Grover to return! Instead of doing fun and silly things or bringing treats each night, the elves plan to teach my boys a little bit about Christmas traditions from around the world. The elves arrived the night we set up our Christmas tree. Elf themed lunch for the boys: Rudolph sandwich, reindeer carrots, and a Christmas Tree cake.
