I actually don’t have all of my wedding event pictures back yet from our photographer, so it will be really hard to share the outfit details with you guys until then. It’s probably the most low-key event of all of them because it’s at home and just your own family, and close friends. It was a very pretty outfit and very heavy outfit too, each outfit was like that in it’s own way. We had chinese food for this evening, because i wanted to make sure each event (to the best of our ability) had different foods/cuisines each day, since food is the #1 thing guests really remember.

Our parents have known each other through the mutual community for like the past 15 years, we however did not meet officially until 2011, we went to the same college for undergrad and my now-husband (who we will call R moving forward, because that’s his first initial and i prefer anonymity) also interned in my dad’s office for a year or so. SO between the combination of these things, we met, we became friends, then we became more than friends about a year and a half in, and maintained our relationship through college and post college while he finished grad school for 4 years + long distance. How did we get married: So I told our parents about ‘us’ back in 2014, once i finished my undergrad, because i felt that was the right time to tell them. So in summer 2016 our parents met ‘officially’ for the first time in regards to us, and we had a baat-pakki/understanding between our parents/families, that when the time comes; we will get engaged and married.

However, the big life change has finally happened, so now as i’m settling into my new norm/new life, I want to get back to this blogging world! It’s been 2 weeks now since the wedding, and after getting married, i also moved, so i am no longer on good ol’ east coast of the USA, no more hour long away from NYC, we’ve moved a little bit further west, a little bit towards the mid-west. There’s so much i can now share with you guys, like how my husband & I met/fell in love, our journey and how we got here, and allllll of the wedding preps, planning, events, clothes, our honeymoon to Cancun, Mexico and all the like! I’m glad i’m finally able to share this big life news with you guys, I wish I could have brought you along through the journey and process, but it was something I wanted to keep private for various reasons.

I contemplated skipping sehri, but in the past when i do that, i feel like i will 100% pass out/faint by end of day because that makes my fast almost 24 hours, so it’s just NOT worth being sick over being tired. One of the biggest things i’ve done this month is invested in myself and my mental health, for the first time, fully, truly, wholly. I am finally content with this decision i’ve made to actually get help and talk to someone about all of these issues, because it was beginning to cause issues in my relationship, and as i’m entering a new phase of life very soon iA, I finally just decided to DO something about it. I’ve definitely lost my motivation here (As well as a lot of other things in life), but i’m really hoping by the end of the year, once i’ve gotten past and moved into a new phase in life, then i can really invest in things I TRULY enjoy
