Dana Ullman's promotion for homeopathy is world-renown. Because he does not get paid for so much work he does, a non-profit organization was created to support his work. Tax-deductible donations can be sent via PayPal to FHER@IGC.ORG
This next study included a sophisticated research design that included a “crossover” effect, that is, half of the patients begin with a placebo treatment, while the other half begin with a homeopathic treatment, and then, after 6 weeks, the groups each receive the other treatment (or placebo). In their review of homeopathic treatment of children with ADD/ADHD, they concluded, “There is currently little evidence for the efficacy of homeopathy for the treatment of ADHD” (Coulter and Dean, 2007). Still, the Cochrane Collaboration’s review of homeopathic research on children with ADD/ADHD rightly acknowledged the high quality research in some of the above studies (Frei, et al, 2005; Jacobs, et al 2006), and they acknowledged that various studies in homeopathy utilize different styles of homeopathic treatment. He has authored 10 books, including The Homeopathic Revolution: Why Famous People and Cultural Heroes Choose Homeopathy, Homeopathy A-Z, Homeopathic Medicines for Children and Infants, Discovering Homeopathy, and (the best-selling)
I have written the following to address the positive effects of using Homeopathic Cell Salts alone or in combination with regular liquid saline electrolytes (Lactated Ringer’s Solution®, Pedialyte®, or other liquid saline electrolytes) in all vertebrate species, including humans. Symptoms related to improper calcium utilization in animals (humans are animals) of all ages include short-term memory difficulties, digestion problems, improper calcium deposits, bone loss or broken bones, joint pain, muscle pain, acid reflux, lactose intolerance, and in newborns, underdeveloped bones, contracted tendons, weak ankles, disrupted bone growth, hair loss or underdevelopment of hair, feather loss or underdevelopment of feathers and others. Underdeveloped premaxillary bones in grazing animals (upper jaw in other mammals and reptiles, or the bone of the upper mandible on birds) and underdeveloped lower jaw are examples of gene/s for the specific affected facial bone/s either being turned off too quickly or having too little expression, likely in addition to mineral deficiencies, resulting in underdeveloped facial bones. Scientific studies of the beneficial effects of homeopathic cell salts alone and in combination with liquid electrolyte solutions would seem to be warranted, since most men, women, and children, as well as domestic animals and wildlife, have observable positive effects when the “electrolyte combination” was taken or given, and for some issues, when just one or both homeopathic cell salts were administered.
Prior to his discovery of homeopathy, Hahnemann’s respect as a physician brought German royalty to seek his medical care, and modern medical historians confirm that Hahnemann showed sound balance and good judgment in his advocacy of proper diet, fresh air, and exercise as a method of treatment. He found a consistent pattern from these experiments: that various substances in overdose create their own unique syndrome of symptoms and whatever syndrome a substance causes in toxic dose, it can and will elicit a healing response when given in specially prepared small doses to people who have similar symptoms of pathology. As the editor of the leading medical journal in Germany, Journal of Practical Medicine, Hufeland published some of Hahnemann’s writings and held him in extremely high regard: “I have discovered in him an amplitude of knowledge, clearness of mind, and a spirit of tolerance, which last is the more worthy of notice in him. However, a few years later, the society rescinded his membership when they determined that homeopathy’s growth represented an “ideological and financial threat” (Kaufman, p. 32) Despite Hahnemann’s significant contributions to medicine, pharmacy, chemistry, psychiatry, and public health, he remained a humble man.
There are more than 150 placebo controlled clinical studies, most of which have shown positive results, either compared with a placebo or compared with a conventional drug.[6] [7] [8] [9] [10] If that were not enough, studies testing the effects of homeopathic medicines on cell cultures, plants, animals, physics experiments, and chemistry trials have shown statistically significant effects.[11] Further, according to an A. C. Neilsen survey, 62% of current homeopathy users in India have never tried conventional medicines and 82% of homeopathy users would not switch to conventional treatments.[22] The So-Called Best Evidence that Homeopathy Does Not Work Sadly and strangely, the skeptics of homeopathy put much of their belief that homeopathy does not work on a review and comparison of homeopathic and conventional medical research that was published in the Lancet in 2005.[23] And conveniently enough, the researchers asserted that one of the large trials testing homeopathic medicines in the treatment of patients with polyarthritis (arthritis in multiple joints) did not have a comparable trial (they actually asserted with complete seriousness that there has never been a study of patients with this common malady, and rather than admit that this large trial of 175 patients which showed significant efficacy of treatment, they simply threw out the trial from their evaluation). The researchers put a higher value of those studies with larger numbers of patients because they asserted that smaller trials are “biased,” even though they were randomized double-blind and placebo studies (and many of which were published in the Lancet, the BMJ, and other highly respected conventional medical journals).
