Quiet time activities and reading aloud can be done simultaneously! Now that Miss B is in Kindergarten, our read aloud time has increased greatly. Miss B and Tuna love to snuggle up and read books with me, Shrimp not so much. By pairing quiet time activities with read alouds, an hour of reading can go by, and they will still be happily playing, engaged, AND listening!
but today I wanted to share our March Morning Basket Read Alouds. Last month I shared with y’all how our morning basket works in Morning Basket Books for February, and how you can learn more from those who have done it a lot longer than I. Today, I will continue with our list of books from last month. You know those books that you really don’t want to return to the library, that you read over and over, and eventually just buy anyway. As always I’d love to know what you’ve read lately or how your Morning Basket is going.
Around this time last year we started a new birthday tradition for the girls that I am just totally.in.love.with! I said it, I couldn’t keep up with the Jones’s anymore Today, I wanted to recap our adventures so far in case you are looking for some fun away from home (for any weekend not just a birthday). Next week, I plan to share the twins’ more recent adventure for their 4th birthday and all the fun that we jam-packed into two and a half days.
A few months ago I shared with all of you about an amazing math program, Smartick Method, that we were absolutely loving (in Improving Math Skills One Fun Session at a Time). Well I’m back, three months later to tell you again, this time in person. If you are interested in trying Smartick Method Math free, you can check it out here. If you have any questions about the program or how it works, I’d be happy to help.
